Find the total area of Khianna’s fish. 6th grade math – Part 1 and 2
Part 2:
Construct an image of an animal of your choosing (something other than a fish) completely out of rectangles and right triangles. Make sure that your image consists of at least eight shapes. At least one of your shapes must be a rectangle and at least one must be a right triangle.
Measure the sides of the individual shapes and find the total area of the composite figure.
Be sure to include in your response:
- The “animal” image you have created.
- The computations you performed finding the areas of the animal’s composite parts.
- The total area of the figure.
