    • align learning activities and Performance Assessment Task with Essential Questions and Instructional Outcomes
    • use the 5E model for teaching and learning to guide your lesson development
    • be sure that the NCTM process standards are embedded in your lesson
    • be sure procedures for each phase embeds on-going assessments
    • be sure to integrate Visual Arts SOL’s

An essential act of our profession is the crafting of efficient, effective learning experiences in which “all” students are allowed the opportunity to meet the specified standards successfully. NCTM’s principles and standards describe a classroom atmosphere in which students are “doing” mathematics in the learning of concepts and mastery of skills and the demonstration of that learning.

It is suggested that you read through some of the exemplars posted in course module in order to understand the depth and complexity of developing specific detailed procedures.
