Mathematician Research

Objectives:

• Identify a mathematician who contributed to the field of mathematics and/or science
• Construct a report describing his or work in detail
• Describe the impact of his or her contributions to their specific field of study
• Demonstrate proper use of Standard English in written communication

Identify a famous mathematician. Research their work and contributions to the field of mathematics. Write a report detailing your findings. Your report should be at least 3-4 pages, 12 point font, and include such details as their biographical information as well as describing their major contributions to mathematics. You may use any format you like for your report, such as MS Word, PowerPoint, or other program. Remember, if you use a PowerPoint, it must contain as much information as 3-4 pages in a written report. Be certain to cite your resources. You must use at least 2 outside resources!
