Tracking and investing in stocks, math homework help

This is assignment should help in understanding investments and stocks. So if you have been interested in stock and/or haven’t started investing yet, this will help you get started.

For this assignment you are to write a report after choosing between 2-4 stocks, listing their name and stock ticker (use a newspaper or computer to get the stock information). I’ll show you what they are. For choosing stocks, I recommend choosing companies with products or services you are familiar with. However you are not limited to those. You have the power to choose any stock you like.

You will track your chosen stocks, recording their gains and losses from November 21 to December 5.I would suggest tracking them three times a day. In the morning, the afternoon and evening. The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) is open Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 4:00p.m. EST. However, it closes for official U.S. holidays or in the event of a major disruption. Most U.S. exchanges follow the NYSE’s schedule(you can also google this yourself).

In this report, all you have to do is some simple basic analysis, recording the percent increases as well as the percent decreases (gains and losses). You can also include some graphs, include some factors that may have contributed to your stocks gains or losses during the time you are keeping track of them. Also write some suggestions in your report noting if the stocks are worth buying or if they are NOT worth buying. And give your reasons behind your suggestions to buy your chosen stocks are or your suggestions to not by your chosen stocks.

Overall, this report will be based on your creativity so you can put together your report however you want. Just make sure you include the above guidelines.

This report is due December 7th. The report should have a minimum of 2 pages. The max is totally up to you. So remember, here are your report inclusions:

1) Choose between 2-4 stocks

2) List their names and stock ticker

3) Record their gains and losses (calculate the average change of each stock)

4) Track your stocks from November 21 to December 5.

5) Discuss factors as to why each stock either rose or fell.

6) Give suggestions on why we should buy each stock or why we shouldn’t buy each stock.

7) But most of all be creative in your report!!
